Description:

Residential development for 10 units located off the existing Mouldsworth Railway Station car park.

This development has been developed using wholly sustainable principles for both foul and surface water.

Due to the sandy nature of the existing sub strata infiltration techniques were employed for both the domestic roof and drives and for the privately maintained access roads.

Foul water was also discharged to ground via a drainage field which received treated water from the new foul water treatment plant and associated pumping station.

The existing station car park was resurfaced using permeable asphalt along with the new access road serving the development.

Betts Associates not only provided the detailed designs for the development but also completed all infiltration testing to the satisfaction of BRE365 and Building Control and the Environment Agency in order to secure the required permits and licenses for the foul water discharge.
